Another (new) year! The beginning of new, sometimes recycled, New Year’s Resolutions. Why do we do that? To what avail? The answer you, like me, might find in the movie Groundhog Day.<\/h3>\n

In the movie a man relives the same day over and over again. To his dismay it’s not the best day of his life, not even a good one. He feels so bad that he tries all different methods to put an end to it all.<\/p>\n

Without ruining the movie, the lessons I learned (through recognition) from it:<\/h4>\n

  • <\/i><\/span>
    We personally develop through our resolutions.<\/div><\/li>\n
  • <\/i><\/span>
    First we develop for our own good and goals.<\/div><\/li>\n
  • <\/i><\/span>
    When we reach the limit of that we go through the uncomfortable “is this all there is?” phase.<\/div><\/li>\n
  • <\/i><\/span>
    The last, endless, phase: we develop ourselves to leave the world as good as we can.<\/div><\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n

    In the movie, as in life: life repeats lessons until you learn them. That can take a while. Another incentive to make your New Year’s Resolutions happen, or your development may take quite long. Oh, well, that only holds for me, not for you, right? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
