Below you will find eight top tips for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.power2improve.com\/en\/?page_id=33292&amp;preview=true\">working effectively with the most difficult colleagues<\/a>!<\/p>\n<h2>Learn and compliment<\/h2>\n<p>Most people have a reason to disagree with others. Often times this is related to negative thoughts and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.power2improve.com\/en\/people\/happiness\/the-4-most-important-things-you-can-learn-from-disneys-inside-out\/\">emotions<\/a>. Self-pity and insecurity (fear) are common ones. Fortunately annoying expressions of unmet needs like\u00a0these are often easy to fix. At times when your colleague is about\u00a0to start acting\u00a0in an irritating way, because (s)he fails at accomplishing something, consider naming things that do go well and praising\u00a0him or her for that. Both receiving\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.power2improve.com\/en\/communication\/do-you-have-the-art-of-giving-compliments-down\/\">compliments<\/a>\u00a0and giving them, immediately creates a positive atmosphere and very probably prevents the worst irritations for the future.<\/p>\n<h2>Look for Strength Creators<\/h2>\n<p>Even though at times it seems\u00a0as if the person you can not stand is doing everything wrong: every person has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.power2improve.com\/en\/people\/the-qualities-that-make-you-strong-and-lead-to-success\/\">good qualities that make them\u00a0strong and successful<\/a> as well. Try to focus your attention on that. If only you have an eye for the nice\u00a0way you colleague talks or the beautiful shoes (s)he is wearing. That way, during a nasty confrontation, you keep your attention\u00a0to something positive, and make sure that the frustration does not run\u00a0too high.<\/p>\n<h2>The 8 Best Tips:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Find out when you are unbearable yourself. Discover the positive intentions causing\u00a0this behavior,\u00a0to better understand other unbearables.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of your irritation and frustration and see it as a sign that you can deliberately do something about it.<\/li>\n<li>Accept\u00a0your own\u00a0negative emotions and ask yourself ask yourself what in you is triggered by the other person&#8217;s behavior.<\/li>\n<li>Know where the other person is coming from.
