Benieuwd wat je tijdens de Innovation and Change skills-colleges van How to Really Change the World leert? Hieronder lees je een korte beschrijving in het Engels*.

1. Introduction & Big Hairy Audacious Goals

During this lecture you will get an overview of what the minor comprises and how both students and professionals can join. Also, we will help you find and describe your Big Hairy Audacious Goal, that the rest of this course will help you accomplish.

2. Understanding (other) people

This lecture you will find out what makes people tick… why you need to know and how to use those insights.

3. Observation skills

Knowing how to get the most out of any meeting will prove helpful in any situation you will be in. If you want to learn what to look and listen for you will be able to tell lies and hidden thoughts before you know it…

Tip: watch the TV Series “Lie to me” (RTL 5, Sundays 20.00 and 21.00 h).

4. Reading minds

Mind reading is not only for the self declared mediums. In this lecture you will learn how they actually use science and statistics to fake a skill they don’t have. Of course you will learn how to ethically use the insights to take away from this.

5. Finding and using your voice

Barack Obama sucked at giving speeches. But he failed forward and mastered the speech (be it of the teleprompter). It was him who said: “One voice can change a room, and if one voice can change a room, then it can change a city, and if it can change a city, it can change a state, and if it change a state, it can change a nation, and if it can change a nation, it can change the world. Your voice can change the world.” This lecture is on you and finding your voice, in many ways.

6. Co-creative communication

Change requires communication. In this lecture you will explore co-creative communication. A method that serves all people’s needs involved.
You will learn:
* how to achieve agreements that are doing justice to everybody involved (not compromises that nobody wants)
* how to truly compliment others
* how to evaluate in a positive way with positive results

7. Words that change minds

Winning people over requires you to persuade them to change their minds. The words you choose are suprisingly important. In this lecture you will go beyond your earlier insights on what words to use and what words to avoid. More importantly you will learn ways to find out what specific language works with your conversational partner(s).

8. Impactful storytelling

Winning people over requires you to persuade them to change their minds. Mere facts will not accomplish that.

9. Brick walls, resistance and stubborn people

Will follow soon.

10. Power works

Will follow soon.

11. Leading

Will follow soon.

12. Strategic thinking and doing

Will follow soon.
